Diana Kay Hensley, 73 years old passed away on May 28, 2021.
Born in Anderson on May 31, 1947, she grew up in Irondale as a child and remained in Anderson for the rest of her life. She retired from Guide Lamp after 30 years of work. She attended 38th Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Darcy and Dora (Black) Harney, husband, Everett Ray Hensley, brothers Junior Harney and Hubert Harney; sisters, Frances Kelley, Maxine Cohen and Lula Culley; great granddaughter, Kennedi Pratt.
She is survived by her children, Jerry (Kay) Hensley of Greenwood, Sherry (Brent) Clark of Lake Placid, Florida, and Gary Hensley of Anderson; grandchildren, Brittney (Derek) Pratt, Bryce Idlewine, Aubrey Jackson, Jeremy Hensley, Jacob Hensley and Jerrica Hensley; great grandchildren, Kaden Pratt and Doltan Dodge; Special nieces, Debbie Stephens and Rhonda Stephens.
She was a wonderful mom, grandma and great grandma "Mimi". She loved her family with all of her heart and in turn, her family loved her. She was a great Christian lady that loved the Lord and spoke of Him always. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Mark Stahl officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home. Please use the West end of the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to East 38th Street Freewill Baptist Church.
