Paul Francis Jessup, 97, lifelong Anderson resident, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 30, 2021.
He was born on April 24, 1924 in Anderson, the son of Ray E. and Ada M. (Sprague) Jessup. He married Lola Cram on August 25, 1946. She preceded him in death on November 6, 2007.
Paul was a farmer and he and his father operated a dairy farm in the 1940's. Later he operated another dairy farm with his sons in the 1970's and 80's. He also was a commercial pilot in Anderson, Muncie, Marion, and Elwood. He operated an airport on his farm in Anderson from 1971-1984. He later worked as a salesman for Reynolds Farm Equipment in Fishers and later worked for Miller Huggins for several years. During the 1950's - 60's he also drove a school bus. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church and New Hope Christian Church.
He is survived by his children Diane (James) Renfro of Anderson, Tim (Sharon) Jessup of Danville, and Ted (Debbie) Jessup of Anderson; eight grandchildren; Jeff Renfro, Cherilyn (Roger) Durant, Mark (Jonie) Jessup, Adrienne (Steve) Everman, Candice (Grant White) Jessup, Joe Jessup, Chris McDaniel, Shawn McDaniel; eight great grandchildren; Lily Renfro, Zachary Durant, Addison, Annabella and Asher Jessup, Ava and Hayden Everman and Alex White; sister, Esther (Bill) Lawson; niece, Cathy (Jack) Taylor; two great nieces, Britney Taylor and Ashley (Seth) Stephens; and close friend, Rosie Ortwein.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister, Ila Dutton and brother, John Jessup, and nephew, Gary Woodruff.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastors Bob Bell and John Hannum officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from Noon until 2 PM prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
