Mario "Chink" Dedo, 67, of Worcester, died Sunday, May 30th in UMass Hospital. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis (Calabresi) Dedo; three brothers, Meo J. Dedo, Jr., Robert E. Dedo both of Worcester and Michael R. Dedo and his fiancée, Suzanne Kelley of Lancaster and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph L. Dedo in 2013.
Mario was born in Worcester, his father was the late Meo J. Dedo, Sr. He had worked as a cook for several years for the former Tweed's Pub and had been a cab driver for Yellow Cab in Worcester for 30 years before retiring. Mario was an accomplished guitar player and will be remembered as a comedian with his ability to make those around him laugh. He was also an avid golfer and was proud of the hole in one he achieved.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 4th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Funeral services will be private.
