Susan (Laing) Chase, 70, of Whitman, Massachusetts died on May 29, 2021 at Windrose at Weymouth after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease with Lewy Body Dementia.
Born in Sharon, Massachusetts in 1950, she was the third child of the late James Laing and Dorothy (Tahany) Laing.
She was the loving wife of Malcolm (Mac) Chase of Whitman, MA and mother of two daughters Lisa Chase of Weymouth, MA and Dawn (Chase) Kelsch and husband Brandon (Randy) Kelsch of Whitman, MA. She was the loving Nana Chase (AKA Queen Mum) of Amelia and Ella Kelsch. She was loving sister of the late Mary Laing of Quincy, MA and brothers Joe Laing of Boston, MA and Peter Laing, his wife Kathy and their daughter Tori (niece) of Dover, NH.
Susan worked at Quincy Hospital for over 20 years and then worked at SEIU until she retired in 2018.
She loved her dogs, Buttercup, Emma, Sadie, Marley (grand-dog) and Ruby. She loved reading, music, gardening, bowling and golfing with her friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday June 4, 2021 at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, MA from 5pm to 8pm. Burial will be Saturday June 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Knollwood Cemetery, 321 High Street, Canton, MA.
