Yvonne Pridgen Clark, 83, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, May 28, 2021, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 5 PM, Sunday, May 30, 2021, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. Linda Arant will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Clark was born December 9, 1937, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Lester & Leola Luke Pridgen. She began her career in nursing at the age of 16 and would work as an LPN for 44 years at the Ben Hill County Hospital as well as the Operating Room at Dorminy Medical Center. She loved to fish in her younger years. Mrs. Clark was born again on November 11, 1974 and was passionate about witnessing to others. She would often times say, “I made mine, be sure yours is made”. She was a member of the Fitzgerald Church of God.
She is survived by a son, Jed Clark of Fitzgerald; a daughter, Jennifer Clark Revels of Fitzgerald; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Clark of Fitzgerald; granddaughters: Kristi & Johnathan Rhodes and Candace Clark; and great-grandchildren: Preston, Ashton, Ava, and Aiden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.H. Clark; a son, Jeffrey Clark; and a brother, Vernon Pridgen.
Per the family's request, all guests and attendees are requested to wear appropriate medical grade facemasks and to maintain social distancing at all times.
