Dorothy (Dot) Wetherbee (Reardon) passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 16th.
She was born in Dudley MA on August 4, 1930 to Edward I Reardon and Blanche (Payant) Reardon. Dorothy grew up in Dudley until marrying and moving to Webster.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Walker and her husband Dale of Florida and Jennipher Goloski and her husband Justin of North Grosvenordale. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth of 68 years, two daughters, Deborah Slye in 2009 and Donna Wetherbee in 2008. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her three brothers, Edward, Walter and Robert Reardon.
She also leaves four grandchildren, Kimberly Hachey, Robert Mann, Christopher Stelmach and Daniel Stelmach, eight great grandchildren, Angela, Harrison, Martin, Savannah, Kenny, Sean, Joshua and Brendan along with one great-great granddaughter Aria. Also several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy lived on Webster Lake most of her life where she brought up her family and worked many years at South Village Mill in Webster as a spinner. She later moved to Winthrop Maine for several years before coming back home and settling in Thompson CT.
The most important thing to Dorothy was her family and she always enjoyed summers at the Cape and later at their summer home on Nantucket Island.
For many years, Dot was an active member of the Silver Dippers, The Webster Senior Center and Woman's Bowling League.
She had an amazing sense of humor and a sassy personality which always livened up any gathering.
Dorothy was happiest around family and the door was always open for her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her and heaven will never be the same!
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
