Gayle C. Martin 83, of Halifax, MA passed away May 17th at home after a long illness.
Born in Whitman, MA on May 9,1938 she was the daughter of the late Howard Lovett Pierce and Myrtle Ellis Jones Pierce.
Gayle worked for many years as a dispatcher for Hanson Fire Department and for Shaws Supermarket in Hanson.
She loved working in her yard and spending time with her family.
She was the wife of the late Harry Alden Martin. Sister of the late Joan, Gerald Pierce, Ernest Pierce, Linda Jutz. She is survived by her brother Bill Pierce.
She was predeceased by her daughter Holly Martin Trop, son-in-law Myron Trop and grandson Aaron Michael Trop.
She leaves behind two daughters Tracey Martin Spencer of Middleboro and Amy Mills (Mike Mills) of Halifax. Five grandchildren, Jamie Spencer (Danielle Spencer), Whitney Spencer, Kayleigh, Kyleigh and Ivy Mills, four great grandchildren Jolie, Cole and Brody Spencer and Laylah Hackett, whom she loved very much.
A Graveside Service for immediate family will be held at a later date
