1939 - 2021
Paul F. Arnold, Sr., formerly of Moultonborough, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Methuen, MA. Born in Manchester, NH on February 2, 1939, he was the son of Leo and B. Mary (Nealon) Arnold. He was predeceased by his brothers, William Arnold and Richard Arnold, both of Manchester; and his daughter-in-law, Colette (Prud’homme) Arnold of Bedford, NH.
Mr. Arnold leaves behind his loving wife, Lorraine (Paradis) Arnold of 60 years, 3 children and 6 grandchildren, including: daughter, Lisa Arnold and husband, Mark Amundsen of Eliot, ME; son, Paul F. Arnold, Jr. of Bedford, NH: his daughter, Lynne Burton and her husband, Quinton Burton of Uxbridge, MA; and grandchildren, including: Theresa Amundsen, Jordan KillKelley, Nathan Amundsen, Tyler Burton, Grant Arnold and Nolan Arnold.
After graduating from Bishop Bradley High School in Manchester, Mr. Arnold was drafted in the Army in 1961. After his service to his country, he moved his family from Manchester to Portland, ME in the position of Parts Manager at Mack Truck. After a decade, the family moved back home to New Hampshire and settled in the town of Merrimack. Mr. Arnold then became a top-selling insurance agent with Prudential Insurance and attained the prestigious "Million-Dollar Round Table” honor, eventually starting his own insurance brokerage agency, Paul Arnold Insurance. In retirement, Mr. Arnold dedicated himself to his community through volunteering at Interlakes Community Caregivers and Lakes Region Food Pantry in Moultonborough. He also served as terminal crew at Nova Star Cruises in Portland.
Mr. Arnold enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, his grandchildren’s sporting events, hunting, tennis, boating, fishing, playing chess, chopping wood and traveling.
The family would also like to thank the Methuen Village Assisted Living family, Arete Rehab and Care Dimensions Hospice for their extraordinary care of Mr. Arnold.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 1st, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road in Merrimack, NH, followed by a Committal Prayer Service at Mount Calvary Mausoleum, 628-462 Goffstown Road, Manchester, NH.
