Louise Elizabeth Adelsberger (formerly Allen and Gibbs) was taken from this physical world on May 24, 2021 at the age of 76. During her last days she was surrounded by the love of her family.
Louise was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 8, 1945 to Helen and James Allen Sr. She was one of twelve siblings and half-siblings. Louise went on to marry twice and had a combined total of nine children and stepchildren.
While Louise lived the better part of her life in Baltimore, Maryland, she also resided in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Louise worked hard her whole life always making sure that her family was cared for. She worked in many capacities during her lifetime, cook, factory worker, and caretaker were just a few of her roles.
Louise had an enormous heart and was always helping those in need. Her home was always open to family and friends and was often filled with conversation and laughter. She loved playing cards, going to B-I-N-G-O, dancing and listening to classic country music from the 40’s and 50’s. Most of all she enjoyed the company of family and friends.
She is now in a place of peace, “where the best is yet to come”, to meet up with those who preceded her in death which includes the following: her parents Helen M. Allen and James H. Allen Sr.; two husbands - Edward L. Adelsberger Sr. and Victor R. Gibbs Sr. (where they will have fun fighting over her, may the best man win...); two children - James H. Gibbs and Garvis Gibbs; two grandchildren - Victor R. Gibbs III and Brandon Gibbs; and three siblings - William Allen Sr. and wife Shirley Allen, Charles Allen and wife Margie Allen, and Nelson Allen Sr. In her last days she dreamt that her brothers in heaven were waiting for her to join them at the casino.
