In Taunton, Albert Silvia Jr., of Taunton, MA beloved husband, brother, father and Papa has peacefully left us behind on May 23, 2021 for the big fishing hole in the sky.
Despite his crusty exterior and stubbornness, there is actual evidence he was a loving, giving and caring person. That evidence is the love and support he and his family received from friends and family too numerous to mention and we thank you.
Albert was a Metal Fabrication teacher at Bristol Regional Technical High School for 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed bass fishing and spending time socializing at Manny’s Auto Repair.
He leaves behind his wife of 32 years Margaret (Coderre) Silvia, his children; Brian Silvia and his fiancé Jennifer DeCosta, their children Dejah and Jadah DeCosta-Silvia of Raynham, Tina (Silvia) Hines, her daughter Jazzy Hines of Norton and Angela (Veras) Corriveau and her husband David and their children, Savannah, Lindsey and Brady Corriveau of Berkley. He also leaves behind his beloved rescue dog “Isabelle”.
Also survived by his sister Brenda (Silvia) Barney and her husband Carlton (Hub) Barney of Taunton, Brother in law John Fernandes and his wife Kathy of Lakeville, brother in law Bradford Weeks and his wife Susan of Lyons, NY. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Albert was the son of the late Albert & Mary (Ferreira) Silvia, Sr. He was predeceased by his daughter Jill Ann Silvia and sister Susan (Silvia) Fernandes.
Out of respect for Albert’s wishes, there will not be a wake or funeral services. Albert ask that everyone kiss your spouse, hug your children, be a loyal friend and always say I Love You.
