Mary Alice Miller (O’Connell) passed away on May 22, 2021 at 73 years old. Mary Alice was the beloved wife of John L. Miller for 52 years.
Born in Chelsea, MA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Edmund and Mary O’Connell.
Prior to her retirement, Mary Alice worked for the U. S. Postal Service as a postal clerk. She enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, dancing and gardening.
Mary Alice was the devoted mother of Janel M. Miller and Melissa A. Miller both of Winthrop and John L. Miller Jr. of Laconia, NH. She was the adored grandmother of Marykate Pote and Jessica, Alex and William Miller. Mary Alice was the dear sister of Maureen Kilroy and her husband Bill of Weymouth, Matthew O’Connell of Winthrop and the late Edmund Jr., William and John O’Connell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, 210 Winthrop St. Winthrop, MA on Friday, May 28, from 3-7PM, with a funeral service in the funeral home beginning at 6:30PM. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
