Nancy Jane (Ward) Blackwood, 87, formerly of Londonderry, NH died Sunday May 23, 2021 at Riverwoods Nursing Home in Manchester, NH. Born in Hardwick, VT on January 14, 1934, she was the daughter of Neil S. and Helen (Haynes) Ward. A 1952 graduate of Rutland High School, Nancy attended multiple colleges, and ultimately obtained her Masters-Plus degree from Fitchburg State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Mrs. Blackwood leaves a son, Kevin Blackwood and his wife Maria of Kittery, ME; two daughters, Karen Kulakov of Londonderry, NH and Toni B. Chapman and her husband Glen, of Seabrook, NH; six grandchildren, Rico and Lucia Blackwood, Daniel Farnham, Sarah Brangwynne, Christopher Chapman and Tracy Chase, as well as seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Carolyn Wallace and her brother Dick Ward

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 27th at 11:00am in the funeral home. All are welcome to gather from 10 - 11am in the funeral home prior to the service. At the family’s request, it is suggested that those in attendance wear face masks and maintain social distancing while in the funeral home. Burial will be on Tuesday June 1, 2021 at 11:00am in the Main Street Cemetery, Hardwick, VT.
