Kenneth G. Howes, 84, of Acushnet died May 24, 2021 at Tremont Nursing Home.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Kenneth I. and Florence M. (Nunes) Howes, he lived in Quincy most of his life before moving to Westport and then to Acushnet.
He was formerly employed by Burke Distribution for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Howes served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth M. Howes and his fiancée Linda Covino of Burlington, MA; a daughter, Karen Duclos and her husband George of Hanson, MA; 2 brothers, David Howes of New Bedford and Victor Howes of DeBerry, FL; 2 sisters, Diana DeFrias of Acushnet and Sharline Cruz of Fairhaven; 4 grandchildren, Erik, Nicole, Alex and Ryan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert Howes, Millard Howes, Warren Howes and Chester Howes.
His visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 27th from 5-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 28th at 12:30 PM in the funeral home followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
