Obituary

Edward C. (Eddie) LeVine 81, of Abington MA, passed away peacefully in his sleep May 22nd.

Born on December 1, 1939 in Boston. He was third of four children of Mary Reed LeVine and Charlie LeVine. He is survived by his brother Ronnie. His brother Robert and sister Janice predeceased him.

He was the husband of the late Donna Pepe Bianchi LeVine and former husband of Carol Hastings. He and his first wife, Maureen Bouchard, raised their five children in East Bridgewater.

Ed was a retired sign maker employed by University Brink and Coleman Sign. He was a proud member of DC 35 International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 391.

Ed loved to gamble whether the state lottery numbers or the casinos. If you asked, he would say he did “Okay” or sometimes he would “break even” with a smirk and a wink.

He enjoyed painting in watercolors; and painted many beautiful landscapes. He enjoyed traveling searching out New England lighthouses and fall foliage. He was an avid cribbage player at the Abington Council on Aging for many years

Sadly, he spent many years as a patient of Fresenius Kidney Care in Weymouth where he received wonderful care from the dialysis Team.

Ed leaves behind his five children and their families, Ed & Beverly LeVine of Whitman, Karen & Ray Leclerc of Attleboro, Linda & Mike McSweeney of Gilbert Arizona, Rick LeVine of East Bridgewater and Sharon & Jim Record of Charlotte North Carolina, as well as his stepchildren Melissa & Chris Mendoza of Hyannis and Mark Bianchi of Hubert North Carolina, his devoted niece Cheryl LeVine Miskinis and many other nieces and nephews. Ed had 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit the family at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary) in Whitman on Wednesday May 26 from 4-7 pm.
