Kimberly Amanda Lavender, 29, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, May 23, 2021, at her father’s residence in Ben Hill County, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Christian Tabernacle in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Earlie Holt officiating. Interment will follow in Big Creek Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Amanda was born December 31, 1991, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Mark Lavender and Kimberly Hall Ford. She was a 2010 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She did lots of volunteer work throughout the community including the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Department, the Humane Society, the Salvation Army, the Dietary Department of Dorminy Medical Center and the Ben Hill County Senior Citizens Center. She was loved by so many people and leaves behind many friends as well. She loved her cat and her dogs. She attended worship at Christian Tabernacle.
She is survived by her father, Mark Lavender of Fitzgerald; mother and step-father: Kimberly Hall Ford & Gary L. Ford, Sr. of Irwin County; brother, SFC Andrew Mark Lavender, U S Army, Fort Campbell, Kentucky and his wife Sarah; a niece, Brylee; a nephew, Connor; a step-sister, Brittany & Taylor Hammond of Fitzgerald; a step-brother, Gary Lee Ford, Jr. & Anna of Fitzgerald; and grandfather, Henry Joseph Lavender of Fitzgerald. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Samuel Clyde Hall, Frances Mylissa Smith Hall, Betty Hogan Dickson, and Frances Taylor Golden.
