LOWELL – Eric Michael Strong, 37, of Chelsea, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 17, 2021. Eric was born in Lowell on February 17, 1984, a son of the late Paul F. Strong and the late Janice M. (Thune) Strong.
Eric worked a variety of jobs throughout the years including construction, movers, landscaping and HVAC. He was a graduate of Lowell High School and was enrolled in college courses.
Eric (aka Simon) was a character you couldn’t help but love, and no one could forget; he was the life of the party, always saying and doing outrageous things. Eric would walk into a room, find the closest woman, and ask if she’d like to go halves on a baby. He was passionate about chess, pool and poker, enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping, floating on the Saco River, walking the city of Boston, meeting everyone…and he loved his women. He also loved his favorite teams, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, and New England Patriots, and would get decked out head to toe in order to properly cheer them on. One of the proudest days of his life was the birth of his son, Zackary. Eric had the biggest loving heart and will be terribly missed.
He leaves behind his beloved son Zackary Michael Strong; six siblings, Kimberly Strong and her partner Luis Vazquez-Torres, Paul Strong Jr and his partner Amber Welch, Shaun Strong and his spouse Lisa Strong, Michael Strong and his spouse Amanda Strong, Matthew Strong and his partner Victoria, the late Andrew Strong; nieces and nephews, Leopoldo Hiraldo, Ashley Strong, Haylie Strong, Kaydan Strong Fuller, Tessa Strong, Paul Strong III, Charlotte Strong, Luis Vazquez III, Angel Vazquez; Grandmother Janice Thune Paige; aunt and uncle, Julie Whitcher and Chuck Whitcher; pets, the late Tasha and Brave N; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
