Obituary

Worcester – Maureen D. (Connole) Coakley, 74, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the home of her daughter surrounded by her loving family. Known to her family and friends as “Debby,” she was born in Worcester in November 1946, daughter of the late Dennis J. and Mary C. (Palumbo) Connole.

Debby was predeceased by her husband Arthur Coakley in 2016. She leaves three sons: Kevin Coakley and his wife Jennifer of Stafford, VA, Brian Coakley and Jamie Coakley, both of Worcester; daughter, Kerry Coakley and her husband Mark Noonan of Worcester; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer and her husband Salvatore, Brian and his wife Cristina, Christopher and his wife Aly, Dylan, Aidan, Tess, Alexander, Declan, Lillianna, Caroline, and Luke; great grandchildren: Milena, Eva, Livia, and Arlen.

Predeceased by her brother Rick Connole, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Timothy and Joyce Coakley, and by a niece Debra Pond, Debby leaves her siblings: Dennis Connole and his wife Joyce, Joseph Connole and his wife Maureen, Kathleen Senior and her partner Donald Tufts, sister-in-law Peg Giorgio and her husband Bob, brother-in-law George Coakley and his wife Mary; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her very dear friends Kathy, Penny, Pam, and Kate.

Debby graduated from North High School in 1965 and worked as a secretary in the intensive and cardiac care units at Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, her dogs, and listening to music. Debby will be remembered by her family as a selfless loving mother and grandmother, and someone who would do anything to help her family and friends.

According to Debby’s wishes, there are no formal services. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, PO Box 368, Woodland Hills, CA 91365.
