Tommy Dale Gibbs, 72, of Enigma passed away Friday, May 21, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Gibbs at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 24, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Tyler Gibbs Snow, Gage Lokey, Garrett Lokey, Shannon Cowart, Hal McMillian and Justin Partain will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 11, 1948 in Irwin County, Mr. Gibbs was the son of the late James Thomas Gibbs, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth “Pinky” Brown Gibbs. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Thomas “Roogie” Gibbs, Jr. and David Doss Gibbs. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Gibbs is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Moore Gibbs of Enigma; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carrie and David Conway of Tifton, Candy Lokey of Fitzgerald and Crystal and Charlie Stokesberry of Enigma; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny Richard and Faye Gibbs of Fitzgerald and Randy Keith and Debbie Gibbs of Enigma; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Georgia Lynn and John Stuhl of Florida, Florida Faye Coleman of Fitzgerald and Mandy Michelle and Jim “Junior” Hall of Albany; six grandchildren and their spouses, Tyler Gibbs Snow, Jennie Lynn and Andrew Womack, Jamie Anne and Kyle Duran, Gage Lokey, Garrett Lokey and Camrie Stokesberry; and four great-grandchildren.
