Robin Kathryn Cameron (Doucette), 59, of North Dighton formerly of Brockton, peacefully died at home on May 19, 2021, surrounded by a fraction of the people who loved her. Beloved wife of James Cameron and mother to fur baby Hunter. She was the daughter of the late William T. and Irene A. (Lewers) Doucette and sibling of the late Kevin Doucette. She is survived by her niece Brianna Doucette-Hazelton of Boston, Virginia, and Aunt June Doucette-Burr of Medfield. She is also survived by a large family of cousins, aunt and uncles in the United States, Nova Scotia, and Northern Ireland. Robin was blessed to have an extended family that included Tanya, Jeff, Payton and Paige Danner. Robin would always be there for the first day of school and so proud of Tanya for completing her nursing degree. Robin looked forward to seeing Payton in a performance and always said the best birthday gift she got was Paige. Life is better with a RoRo.
Robin Cameron was born March 27th in Winthrop, MA. Robin met Jimmy 43 years ago on Memorial Day weekend and married on May 23, 2009. They shared a love of animals, children and Harley Davidsons. Robin was predeceased by her fur babies: King, Free Jack and Baron. Robin and Jimmy’s wedding announcement picture was taken on their Harleys. Robin believed that there was nothing more important than to make a difference in a child’s life. Robin and Jimmy became the surrogate parents to many over their life together.
Robin treasured friendship and connections. Through her life she made and maintain many friendships. She was always seamlessly there and knew what was happening in everyone’s lives. All who knew her, felt they were her priority. Robin and her best friend Jo-An Arnold have a special bond that has grown only stronger over the years.
Robin was always up for a road trip and took many vacations to see friends and family in Florida, Virginia, and Nova Scotia. She would be known to book a last-minute flight to surprise someone for their birthday or to be by their side in times of trouble. She was overjoyed to take a trip to Aruba with Brianna. Her greatest trip success was getting Jimmy to Florida. Robin was an avid shopper and loved Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls. She is one of the few people that could go to a consignment store, meet a stranger, and come home with a free dress.
Robin loved the sun and the beach. Many had their favorite beach spot with Robin or fond memories of their annual trip to Water Wizz. No matter the time of year, if the weather warranted it, Robin could be found at the beach. During her illness, one of her special moments was when they were able to take her outside to enjoy the sun.
Robin was currently employed with the Norfolk and Dedham Group and had worked there for 23 years. Robin loved working for the N&D and was always available to help out and go the extra mile. Robin would always say that she was so lucky to have the best boss. Many of her coworkers became treasured friends and Robin would partake in their family and life events. She was always excited about a new baby or pet.
In memory of Robin, take the time to enjoy the beach and think of your favorite Robin memory. We have all gained a special guardian angel.

Visitation will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St, Taunton from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Sunday, May 23rd. A funeral service followed by burial will be held at Saint Francis New Cemetery, 48 North Walker St, Taunton, at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, May 24th.
