Jocelyn M. Gaines, 75, of Worcester died Sunday, May 16th at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her children, Pia Gaines of Worcester, Stephanie Gaines of Woburn, Gidget Gaines of Attleboro, Allen Gaines of Woburn and Allison Gaines of Worcester; two brothers, Kenneth Gaines and his wife, Betty of Middleboro and Paul Gaines and his wife, Gladys of Andover; her grandchildren, Tia Gaines, Kevin Gaines, Kiesha Gaines, Latarsha Gaines, Randy Payne, Allen Gaines, Jr., Xavier Gaines, Brielle Mitchell, Stephanie Curtin, Steven Gaines, and Iyanna Gaines; and eleven grandchildren. She also leaves Anthony Concepcion who was like a son to her; Christine Rodriguez who was like a daughter to her; extended family and friends. She was predeceased by two children, Tina Gaines, Steven Gaines; a brother, Leonard Gaines; and two sisters, Janice Barnett and Beverly Wyche.
She was born in Boston the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Gabaurel) Gaines and graduated Medford High School. Jocelyn was a devout member of Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time in the sun, singing and dancing. Ms. Gaines was affectionately known as “nana” to everyone. She cherished the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren.
