Paul S. Curelop, age 86, of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving family on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the All American Assisted Living at Wrentham. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Pike) Curelop, to whom he was wed for fifty years at the time of her death on December 4, 2006.
Born in Boston, MA on October 17, 1934, he was a loving son of the late Abraham and Jenny (Nankin) Curelop.
Paul grew up in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and was a 1951 graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. During the Korean War, he proudly served his country for three years as a member of the United States Navy.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Curelop was a part owner of the former Corrofab Company in Mansfield. He had made his home in Norton for many years, where he served as a former Norton Water Commissioner and a Norton Little League coach. He loved spending time with his family, was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan, enjoyed trips to various casinos and golfing.
He is survived by his devoted children: Michael A. Curelop and his wife Sarah of Norton, David Curelop and his wife Donna of Mansfield, Cindy E. Wirth of Bellingham and Jeffrey L. Curelop of Norfolk and his late wife Sandra. He was the cherished grandfather of Adam, Ashley, Brady, Cody and Zach and the great grandfather of Abram. He was the dear brother of Edward Curelop and his wife Ethel of Brockton and was pre-deceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, May 24th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton. Burial will be private.
