Peter P. Nee, of Bridgewater, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on May 17th surrounded by his family at The Good Samaritan Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Rosmuc, County Galway, Ireland in 1940 to Patrick and Bridget Nee, Peter also lived in England for several years before immigrating to the United States in 1968.
A skilled carpenter and laborer, he worked on The International Place in Boston and The Big Dig as well as building out the family’s home in East Bridgewater.
When he wasn’t entertaining loved ones with stories, he could be found tapping his toes to a good Irish Jig.
Peter is survived by his wife Ann (Keady) Nee of 50 years and his children Caroline, Peter (Loren) and Pauline (deceased fiancée Amy). He was the proud Dado of Riley, Finnigan and Lachlan. He’s also survived by his brother Coleman (Mary) and sister Barbara (Billy).
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday May 21st from 4-7PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, 666 Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the rotary), Whitman, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12PM at St. John’s Church, 210 Central Street, East Bridgewater, MA., is limited. Interment at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center Street, Bridgewater, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
