Obituary

Jack, (nee Schneeweis)
Victoria Jean
Age 69 and longtime resident of St. Paul, MN. Vicky passed away peacefully on April 20th at the Homestead of Maplewood with her three siblings at her side. She endured way too many health crises the last few years and they seemed to cascade recently. Vicky is survived by; siblings, Timothy Schneeweis (Carol), Paula Schneeweis (Mike Hulse), Patricia Quinn (Gerald); three grandchildren, Samantha Jack, Christian Jack, and Michael Jack; nieces, Genevieve Bohlman, Kate Hulse, Megan Hulse, Kelly Quinn and nephew Christopher Quinn. Preceded in death by; husband Frank Jack, son James Jack, father Richard Schneeweis and mother Jean Schneeweis.
Vicky’s grandchildren were the light of her life. She encouraged and attended their dance, swimming, and hockey activities. Vicky applied her significant artistic abilities to prepare their state fair art entries. She visited with the grandkids every chance she got. Vicky attended classes at the U of M and St. Paul Technical College. She worked for nearly 20 years as an educational aide for students with special needs in the St. Paul school district. Vicky’s love for animals is legendary. She was known to stop her car and guide turtles and ducks across the road. Vicky cared for stray and feral cats, and treated her two beloved cats (Jules and Scout) like royalty.
Vicky will be remembered by many for her devotion to family, courage in the face of health struggles, support of AA’s mission, and a sometimes quirky sense of humor. Vicky benefitted greatly from her friendships with Kathy, Donna, Norma, Susy, Paula, Craig and Laura. A special thank you to Carrie and the Franson family, and Bernice and the Jack family. Also, thanks to the dedicated staff at Homestead of Maplewood, Health Partners and Home Instead.
