Portland- Jeffrey A. Schneider, 56, died of cancer on May 15, 2021 at Maine Medical Center.
He was born May 15, 1965 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, he was the son of Robert E. and
Linda A. Gatcomb Schneider.
Jeffrey attended Charleston Christian Academy in Charleston, Maine. He worked as manager
at K-Mart in West Springfield, MA. Returning back to Maine, he married his long time sweetheart
Debra Lundberg and they settled in Waterville, Maine where Jeffrey managed Uncle Dean's
Natural Food store for many years. Moving to Brunswick, Maine where he worked at Morning
Glory Natural Food store, and his most recent job was at the Tuscan Bistro Italian Restaurant
in Freeport, Maine. He enjoyed and loved the people he worked with in his time at the Tuscan.
He was a City Council member in the town of Brunswick, Maine.
Jeffrey had many hobbies which included writing letters. Not just to friends and family, but to
politicians, celebrities and athletes which he acquired numerous autographs from around the
world. He loved baseball and attended many Seadogs and Redsox games. Jeffrey loved to read
the Bible and was devoted to share his knowledge and love for the Lord with others. He
facilitated a Bible study at his home at Deering Pavilion in Portland, Maine.
He was predeceased by his mother, Linda A. Gatcomb Schneider.
He will be sadly missed by his father, Robert and stepmother Deborah Schneider. Jeffrey was
very close and fond of his stepmother and considered her as his mother, "mum". Brothers, Steven
Schneider of Frankfort, Maine; Jeremy Schneider and wife Danielle of Brewer, Maine. Five nieces
and nephews, Emma Schneider, Lucas Schneider, Matthew Schneider, Joshua Schneider, and
Lindsey Schneider. His long time sweetheart, precious Debra Lundberg. Special friends, Debra
Lupo, Ariel Philbrick and her son Grayson.
A service of remembrance will be announced at a later date.
