Obituary

Elaine D. (McLaughlin) Charbonier, a lifelong Melrose resident, died suddenly on March 27, 2006, at her home. She was 63 years old.

Elaine grew up in Melrose. She attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and was a 1959 graduate of Melrose High School. After high school, Elaine attended 2 years of business school. Elaine was married to her husband Al for 39 years, during which time she was a homemaker, raising and caring for her two children and later her four grandchildren. She loved her family and loved to vacation up at Lake Winnepasaukee.

Elaine was the beloved wife of Alfred P. “Al” Charbonier. She was the devoted mother of Michele Mazzola and her husband Stephen of Wakefield and Kevin Charbonier of Melrose. She was the loving “Grandma” of Stephen, II, Madison and Shane Mazzola and Angel Bagnell-Charbonier. She is the beloved sister of William McLaughlin, Jr., and his wife Rosemarie of Wakefield. Elaine is the dear aunt of Cheryl Landry and her husband Steve of Dracut and William McLaughlin, III, of Wakefield.

Elaine’s Funeral Service will take place at the Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, MELROSE/WAKEFIELD line, on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours for Elaine will be held on Friday, March 31, 2006, from 4 – 8 p.m. Interment will be at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
