On May 11, 2021, John J. “Jack” Morrissey of Lake Worth Beach, FL, McLean, VA, and Green Harbor, MA, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Nancy (O’Malley) Morrissey. Devoted father of Brigid Morrissey. Jack is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Jack attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School, Somerville, and Christopher Columbus High School, North End.
After graduating from Villanova University, in 1971, with a B.S. in Business Administration, Jack began his successful business career, first in construction in Ocean City, MD and later as a mortgage banker. He was co-founder & EVP of Congressional Mortgage Corp., co-founder & President of Waterford Mortgage Corp., and Co-owner/operator, Polo Ralph Lauren Shops, in the greater Washington DC area. He was a member of Washington Golf & Country Club.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday, May 21st at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. COVID-19 requirements will be observed at all times with face masks and social distancing.
