Frances (Peters) Arsenault
It is with great sadness that the family of Frances Mary Arsenault announces her peaceful passing at her daughter’s home in Ventura, California on May 4, 2021.
Frances was born on December 6, 1930 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada to the late Laurier and Donalda Peters. She graduated from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in Moncton, New Brunswick and spent many years working as a Registered Nurse. A career opportunity for her husband Kenneth led to their relocation from Canada to Whittier, California where they made their home. She kept her connection to her Canadian roots in several ways including taking more than ten annual summer car trips to PEI with her and her sister Betty’s family. These trips helped firmly cement loving bonds that have since grown and endured between their families. After Ken’s untimely death in 1974, Frances was faced with the task of raising and supporting her young family on her own, a challenge that she met with loving purpose and grace. She spent her later years living in Palm Desert and Ventura, devoting time to her family, solving word and jigsaw puzzles, and playing games of Scat and Cribbage, among other pursuits.
Frances leaves to mourn four children and their spouses: Luanne (Vaughn) of Ventura, California; David (Lisa) of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; Dianne (Robert) of Ventura, California; and Suzanne (Peter) of Ojai, California. Frances also leaves behind eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her sister Betty Dulebohn and numerous nieces and nephews.
