CHICOPEE – Donald A. Boudreau, 84, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, May 13, 2021. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on February 11, 1937, a beloved son of the late Joseph U. and Marguerite (Milancon) Boudreau. He was raised and educated in Holyoke and had lived in the Aldenville section of Chicopee and South Hadley. He later lived in the Fairview section of Chicopee before moving to the Westover section of Chicopee in 2006. He was employed as a machine operator at the Springfield Photomount Company for 34 years and later worked at University Products for 20 years, both in Holyoke, and retired in 2008. He was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. During his leisure time, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his beloved wife and soul mate, Jacqueline A. (Hurteau) Boudreau. They were married on August 31, 1957 at the former Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Church in Holyoke and were blessed with over 63 years of happiness together. He also leaves his five loving children, Paul D. Boudreau of Mariaville, ME, Susan L. Boudreau and her husband, Michael Shea, of Granby, Robert J. Boudreau and his wife, Cathy, of Chicopee, Jerry T. Boudreau and his fiancée, Annmarie Czaplicki, of South Hadley and James D. Boudreau of Chicopee; his nine cherished grandchildren; his 11 cherished great grandchildren; his cherished great great grandson; his dear sister, Lorraine Evans and her husband, Lowell, of Chicopee; his two dear brothers in law, Richard Hurteau and his wife, Peg, and Gerald Hurteau, all of Westfield; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear sister, Rita Caputo and her husband, Louis; his dear brother, Edward Boudreau and his wife, Monique; his two dear sisters in law, Joan Hurteau and Margaret Desrosiers and her husband, Kent. His relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His Burial will be private. There are no visiting hours. His funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
