The earthly journey of Kathleen “Kathy” McNally, 74, of Santa Fe, NM, ended unexpectedly on April 20, 2021. A native of Dedham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude F. (Coates) and Vincent T. McNally. She is survived by her loving family: her brother, Mike (Br. Gregory) McNally, CFC, of New Rochelle, NY; her sister, Bonnie (McNally) Holmes, and her brother-in-law, Randy, of Norwell; her nephew, Randy Holmes, of Norwell; her niece, Sarah (Holmes) DaSilva, and her husband, Michael, of Marshfield; her two grandnieces, Charley and Perry DaSilva, and her faithful dog, Nilla. Kathy was kind, compassionate and selfless to all those who knew her. She loved her family, always being the ever-faithful sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandaunt, friend and neighbor that she was.
Kathy was born in Boston and grew up in Dedham. After graduating with the associate degree from Katharine Gibbs School in 1966, Kathy went to live and work in Brussels, Belgium, for four years and, since, in San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, and New York City where she worked at a music library for 29 years. In 2014 she retired to Santa Fe, NM, where she loved traveling, visiting museums, reading books, birding, hiking, and gardening. Most of all, she loved early morning walks with her dog, Nilla, enjoying the beautiful sunrises.
