In Fall River, Juanita Carnes, Age 77, passed away peacefully in Fall River Healthcare on May 10, 2021. Juanita was the wife of the late Edward Carnes III. She was born in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of the late Louis & Blanche (Meyer) Rodriquez. Juanita had resided in Raynham since 1997 and was formerly of LA. She was mainly a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, always the last to leave the dance floor, traveling, yearly trips to Cape Cod, was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and knitting and especially taking care of her grandchildren. Juanita leaves her children; Patricia Edson of Manchester, NH, Keith Edson and wife Peggy of Westport, Barbara Edson and her wife Judy Drew of Epping, NH, Kimberly Melo and husband Paul of Acushnet and Kirk Edson of Plainville, her 9 beloved grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her two late grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Ashley. Juanita also leaves her late brother Julio Rodriquez of NY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Sunday, May 16th from 2-4pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, May 17th at 10am. Followed by a graveside service at Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham.
