Beverly E. (Loud) Mackin, age 92, of Brockton died peacefully May 9, 2021 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. Beverly was the loving wife of the late Alfred J. Mackin. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Herman H. and Florence M. (Smith) Loud. Beverly was devoted to her husband and family and loved sharing many vacations at her sister’s summer home in Wareham and enjoyed day trips to Nantasket Beach. You could often find Beverly relaxing on her screened in porch and she never turned down a game of Bingo or Rummy 500 with her grandkids. She was a longtime member of the Brockton Council on Aging where she enjoyed the company of many friends.
Beverly was the mother of Diane M. Miller and her husband Michael of Raynham, John J. Mackin of Brockton, Donald R. Mackin and his wife Linda of West Bridgewater and Daniel E. Mackin and his wife Rhonda of Middleboro; grandmother of Marc, Kelly, Matthew and Thomas Miller, Nicole Houghton, Jennifer Bruce and Caroline Burnham; great grandmother of Molly, Will and Emma Houghton and Lily and Grace Gustafson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was the sister of the late Louise Williams, Hazel Morse, Stewart Loud, Dorothy Bourne, Arlene Graham and Donald Loud.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street, Brockton, Friday, May 14, at 10:30am, followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Masks must be worn and social distancing observed in the church.
