FALL RIVER – Ralph C. Mello, age 88 and a lifelong resident of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in the comforts of his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband to Isabel (De Mello) Mello and the son of the late Manuel C. and Frances (Oliver) Mello.
Prior to retiring, Ralph worked for Louis-Hand Curtain Mfg. Co. as a Maintenance Man for several years. During his retirement, Ralph worked as a Funeral Assistant at Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home for 20+ years. Ralph enjoyed playing his guitar, wood working & wood carving. But most of all, Ralph was an avid collector of Action Figures and Toy Soldiers.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his 3 sons: Michael R. Mello of Fall River, David R. Mello (wife Ana) of Fall River, and Steven R. Mello (wife Cyndie) of Swansea; 3 grandchildren: Nicholas, Zachary, and Samantha; several nieces & nephews. Ralph was the brother of the late Lawrence C. Mello, Evelyn Suspiro, & Dolores Rita.
Ralph’s funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on Wednesday, May 12th at 9:00 A.M. for family, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00 A.M. for all to attend.
