Dorothy R. (Bone) Bailey, age 94, of Dedham, formerly of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. She was the beloved wife of the late Ora J. Bailey, her “sweetheart”, to whom she was wed for twenty-five years at the time of his unexpected death on July 16, 1975.

Dot truly loved the many wonderful summers spent at her family’s home in West Dennis, where she swam every day. Her hobbies included birdwatching, gardening and especially baking apple, pecan and pumpkin pies during the holiday seasons. She will always be remembered for her tremendous gift of gab, the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, lending others a helping hand and making those who visited her home always feel welcome

She is survived by her devoted children: Donna M. McManus and her husband Michael of Marston Mills, Barbara S. Blaisdell and her husband Alan “Buz” of Palmer, Alaska, Christine A. Sierra and her husband Edward of Narragansett, Rhode Island, David O. Bailey and his companion Sharon Lynch of Foxborough and Anne M. Muir and her husband John of Westwood.
