Marie Ellen Forgione (Aubut) passed away peacefully at the Winchester Hospital early Friday morning, May 7th. She was 88. Born in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Grace (McLaughlin) Aubut. She lived in East Boston where she and her husband Richard “Garb” Forgione began their family together. They settled in Medford and enjoyed 49 years of marriage together, until Richard passed away in 2000.
Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her family. She loved to travel, spending time with her sisters, playing poker and trips to Foxwoods, She was great at Scrabble and an OUTLANDER fanatic. She loved to cook and was famous for her pizzagaina. A Medford resident for over 60 years, she will certainly be missed by all who knew her.
The beloved wife of Richard “Garb” who passed away in 2000, Marie was a devoted mother to
Linda Cardinale and her boyfriend Jim of Tewksbury, Deborah Vintos and her boyfriend Reggie of Medford, Richard Forgione and his wife Lynn of Wilmington and Michael Forgione, his late wife Donna Marie, and his girlfriend DeeDee Gonsalves of Moultonborough, NH. She was a loving grandmother to Deana, Kristine, Angela, Vasilios, Richard, Ranelle, Domenic, Michael, Ashley, James, Taylor, Roshon and the late Lauren, Alexandria and Stefania. She was a loving great-grandmother to 11great-grandchildren and one late great-granddaughter, Madeline. She was the sister of Chickie, Patsy, William, Diane, the late Mickey, Barbara and Jill, and leaves many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday May 13th from 4 -7 PM and on Friday morning a funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
