Teresa Mary (Martin) O’Brien , 91 of Medway, died May 7 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert J. O’Brien for 65 years before his death in 2015.
Born in Walpole, September 5, 1929, the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Julia A. (Barry) Martin, Mrs. O’Brien had lived in Medway for the past 71 years.
A graduate of Walpole High School, Teresa had been a real estate agent for many years until retiring in 2018.
She had worked for ERA Real Estate in Franklin. Teresa had served on several State boards for the real estate industry.
Long active in St. Joseph’s Church, Teresa was a member of the Catholic Daughters , Court of St. Joseph #1475 for over 65 years.
Teresa had been the founding member of the Affordable Housing Board in Medway. She had also been instrumental in the Habitat Housing in Medway.
A devoted Democratic she loved politics.
Teresa is survived by her children, Kathleen Murray of Medway, Mark O’Brien and his wife Claire of Tarrytown, New York, Mary O’Brien of Medway and was the mother of the late Julie Fahrenholt.
She is also survived b her son-in-law Steven Fahrenholt of Norwood.
Teresa was the sister of Paula Wiltse of Florida and the late Laura Desmarais, Francis Martin, Paul Martin, Frederick Martin, Raymond Martin, and Charles Davenport.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Courtney Marshall and her husband Andy of Medway, Ryan Murray of Medway, and Nicole and Erica O’ Brien of Tarrytown, New York, and her great-grandchildren, Silas and Rayea Marshall.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 11 in St. Joseph Church at Noon. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
