Carol A. (Gruberski) Clements of Dedham, age 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 7, 2021. She was the loving mother of Carolanne Haddigan and her husband Kenneth of North Attleboro, Bernice Luz of Mansfield, John Kevin Clements and his wife Tanja of North Attleboro. Loving grandmother of seven, Laura, Erin, and Kyle Haddigan, Michelle and Patrick Lambrecht, and Rachel and Erik Clements, and her great-grandson Zhakari Elliot. Pre-deceased by her parents John Gruberski and Helen (O’Brien) Gruberski of Hyde Park. Also survived by many cousins and their families and many lifelong friends.
Carol had resided in Dedham for over sixty years. She attended Mansfield Beauty Academy while also attending her senior year at Hyde Park High School, graduating from both in 1960. Carol had worked at the Boston Envelope Co. and Dedham District Court for many years. Carol was employed as a security guard for Polaroid in Norwood, Waltham, and Cambridge for over 23 years before retiring.
Carol loved Dedham and was active in many activities including volunteering at the Endicott Estate giving tours and teaching crocheting at the Greenlodge School after school program. She was active for many years with the Dedham Council on Aging, she especially loved decorating Christmas wreaths and trees. When she was in good health she could be seen working in Town Hall on Census forms or answering phones.
A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 12 from 9:00-10:45am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
