Kenneth Richardson, 78, of Fitzgerald passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at Pruitt Health Care in Fitzgerald. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Richardson at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Gary Mimbs will officiate.
Mr. Richardson’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born September 26, 1942 in Irwin County, Mr. Richardson was the son of the late Troy Richardson and Lorene Hobbs Richardson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Leona Carelock Richardson; and one brother, Gene Richardson. He was a retired minister and a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Fitzgerald and loved serving in various positions in the church.
Mr. Richardson is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl and Joann Crossgrove of Wray, Kenny and Maggie Owens of Milledgeville and Jeff and Kim Richardson of Fitzgerald; one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Jake Pust of Tifton; one brother, Larry Richardson of Jacksonville, Florida; eight grandchildren, Shelby Weaver and her husband Scott, Alexis Crossgrove, Russ Ridgeway, Chandler Hough, Adam and Taylor Richardson and Gavin and Gabby Pust; and two great-great grandchildren, Tanner and Abby Ridgeway.
