Maxine Olga (Landwehr) Schuler, 82, of Amboy, IN passed away at her residence on May 3, 2021 following an extended illness.
She was born on November 9, 1938 in Elmont, Missouri to Floyd Julius and Alean (Cowan) Landwehr.
She was the salutatorian in the class of 1956 at St. Clair High School in St. Clair, Missouri. Maxine was primarily a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and playing the piano. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church where she was the choir director for many years. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four daughters, Michelle Troup of Swayzee, IN, Pam (Jim) Allen of Bethel, Ohio, Kim (Rick) Cook of Solon Township, Michigan and Deb (Tim) VantHof of Grand Rapids, Michigan; three brothers, Jerry (Shirley) Landwehr of Sullivan, Missouri, DeWayne (Gail) Landwehr of Anderson, and David (Chris) Landwehr of Nixa, Missouri, a sister, Jane (Mike) Tummons of Rolla, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Linda Schnarre of Washington, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert K. "Bob" Schuler in 2012; a son-in-law, Randy Troup; a sister, Janet Rosson and a brother-in-law, James Schuler.
Services will be held at Meadowbrook Baptist Church on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Dennis Zirkle officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
The visitation will be 1 hour prior at the church on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be given to: March of Dimes or Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
