Richard S. Beebe, adoring husband, 72, of Whitman passed away unexpectedly on May 4 at Brockton Hospital.
Born in Quincy in April 1949, he was the second child of the late Robert and Harriet Beebe.
A graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School, Richard worked for 30 years as a shipper for Warren E. Collins, Inc. later working in automotive supplies before retiring.
He was an avid fan of old cars, motorcycles and later in life, quilting. But as anyone who knew him could tell you, his favorite thing in the world was making his wife happy, even if that meant giving up the motorcycle as he aged.
A life-long resident of Whitman, Richard is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patti Beebe as well as his three children, Michelle of Malden, Sarah of Whitman and Richard Jr of Whitman and two grandchildren, Luciana and Leo. He also leaves behind three siblings, Robert of Rockland, William of Whitman and Janice Duncan of East Bridgewater.
Visiting hours will be at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman on Friday May 7 from 5-7pm. A private burial service will be held on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA 02451 or at www.heart.org
