Marie A. (Chabot) Collamati 98, of Hopedale, and a former longtime resident of Bellingham, passed away peacefully, Monday May 3, 2021 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Lucien E. Collamati, of Bellingham who died in 1998.
Marie is survived by her three daughters, Anne M. Ferland of Bellingham, Elaine L. Cohen of Texas, and Joyce L. Bileau and son-in-law, Brian Bileau, of Brooklyn CT. She will also be remembered lovingly by her two grandsons, Christopher P. Ferland and wife, Lori-Anne of Woonsocket, and Nicholas G. Ferland and wife Amy Janowski of Harrisville, RI, and two granddaughters, Ashley Hooser and husband John of Savannah, MO, and Christina Bileau of Brooklyn, CT. Marie has three great-grandsons, Brayden Ferland, Logan Ferland, and Mason Ferland.
Marie was fun-loving and enjoyed exercise, painting, music, knitting and crochet, socializing, and singing. Always involved in some type of activity even despite her advanced age, she was an active member of the Bellingham Council of Aging and was recognized by the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) for leading exercise at Atria Senior Living where she lived the past 7 years. She sang in the Bellingham Senior Center Chorus, learned Italian in her 80's, earned an Associate degree in Psychology in her 50's, and worked as a building supervisor and medical assistant at the Wrentham Developmental Center for more than 20 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Friday May 7th, from 10-11:30AM.
Her funeral service will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA at 12PM.
