Pastor Jonathan Christopher Mello, 39 of East Falmouth, MA passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2021. He was born in Washington, DC on June 20, 1981. He received his ministerial credentials from the Berean Bible Institute, and also attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
He was the Director of Teen Challenge Greater Boston. His passion, commitment, and dedication for 20 years, has been to help everyone with life controlling issues. He was a stellar leader, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend that was loved by everyone who met him.
He was an aficionado of Marvel comic books and movies. A sports enthusiast who was deeply loyal to his hometown Washington Redskins.
He is survived by his wife Tabatha Mello, his beloved parents Christopher Mello and Sheila Duarte Andrade, his sister Kyle Mello, his grandmother Mildred Duarte Fernandes, his nieces Gabriella and Kailah, and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 4, 2021, from 4 pm - 8 pm, at Saunders-Dwyer Funeral Home at 495 Park Street, New Bedford, Ma. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Wednesday May 5, 2021, at 10 am at Christian Fellowship Church at 822 Church Street, New Bedford, MA. Please be advised that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are strict guidelines that must be adhered to for the safety of everyone. You MUST wear a mask to be allowed entry to the services. Please practice social distancing and avoid any close contact. Guests will be permitted to pay their respects and depart to allow the next guests to enter. Capacity at the funeral home will be limited so there could be wait times outside the funeral home.
