Michael P. Murray, 66, of Paxton, died Thursday, April 29th in UMass-Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his three sons, Joel M. Murray and his wife, Pricilla of Land o' Lakes, FL, Michael J. Murray, and his wife, Lindsey of Oxford, and Patrick A. Murray and his wife, Felisha of Paxton; his step-son David J. Crehan and his wife, Lydia of Worcester; his brother, Stephen D. Murray and a sister, Kathleen M. Ramian both of Worcester. He also leaves his former wife, Theresa A. (Crehan) Murray of Paxton, and fifteen grandchildren, Troy Crehan, Jarrid Deso, Trenton Crehan, Olivia Murray, Makayla Crehan, Ryan, and Ella Murray, Frankee Crehan, Emma, Dominic, and Braelynn Murray, Seaghan Crehan, Logan Murray, and Z. J. and Mia Nathaniel.
Michael was born in Worcester, the son of James P. and Helen (Curran) Murray, and was a graduate of Doherty Memorial High School. He owned and operated Murray Trucking, serving the community for over 40 years. His work ethic was second to none, a trait he shared with all of his sons especially Michael who has taken over the family business. He enjoyed his work and developed a faithful following over the years, always quick to point out to any passengers all of the houses he has worked or return the waves he got around the city. As important as his business was, nothing was more important to him than his family and his greatest joy was time spent with his grandchildren. He spent many Sundays surrounded by family and coaching the Patriots from his couch or helping his grandchildren improve their basketball skills.
His calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 4th from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Funeral services and burial will be private.
