Obituary

Our very beloved Theresa “Tess” passed away on April 28, 2021 after suffering from illness for a long period of time. She was surrounded by her loving husband Lee and family. Although we are all devastated, we know the pain she endured is over and that she is now in peace.

Theresa was born in Roslindale, MA in 1967 and was the daughter of Joan M. Burke (Dorchester/Pembroke MA) and the late Michael J. Burke (Co. Galway, Ireland)

She graduated from St. Clare’s High School, followed by college and nursing school. Theresa proudly received her RN and worked dutifully for various hospitals throughout her life, including Norwood and Sturdy. She was also a RN at the Culture Care Agency all within Massachusetts.

Theresa was devoted to her family and dearly loved being a Mom. She had 3 beautiful children for whom she cherished and always proud of: Alexandra Casey of Taunton; USMC Corporal Zachary Casey of Boston; USN Hospital Corpsman Second Class Jacob Casey and his fiancé, USAF Senior Airman Danika Miller of Texas. Theresa was also the devoted Grandmamma to baby Michael Casey whom she adored.

Later, Theresa met and fell in love with Lee Jamieson. They were together and married for over fourteen years. Theresa and Lee shared a deep love for each other and set up their home in Attleboro.

Theresa shared a life with many siblings: Catherine Cameron and Mike Legere of Stoughton, Michael and Theresa Burke of Roslindale, Joanne Burke-Breen of Norton, Eileen Burke of Pembroke, John and Deneen Burke of Wrentham, James and Diana Burke of Dedham and Annie Burke and Thomas Lynch of Stoughton. She also was a loving sister to her late siblings: Thomas, Patricia and Stephen. Auntie Theresa (Tess) was very much loved by her many, many nieces and nephews.

One of Theresa’s passions was for animals, especially strays. She was a furry mom to: Maxwell, Lacey, Trouble, Boots and the late Yogi, Sophie and Rusty. We asked in lieu of flowers to please donate to the MSPCA, Boston (www.mspca.org).
