Margaret M. Keefe, 88, of Derry, NH died Sunday March 26, 2006 in the Haven Healthcare Center, Derry. Mrs. Keefe was born in Cambridge, MA on November 15, 1917 a daughter of the late Paride and Alba (Baratta) Franceschi. She had resided in Derry for the past six years, formerly living in Somerville, MA. Prior to marriage, Mrs. Keefe was employed for Gillette Corp. in S. Boston, MA and Lechmere Sales in Cambridge. She was also a former volunteer at the Somerville Hospital in Somerville. She held memberships in the EB Club and the Women’s Auxillary Dante Club, both of Somerville.
She is survived by her son, Edmund J. Keefe of Derry, her daughter, Elaine M. Brisson and her husband Paul of Merrimack, NH, five grandchildren, Peter Keefe of Poland, ME, Heather Delanoy of Derry, Michael Keefe of Manchester, NH, Paul Brisson of Nashua, NH, Dawn Marie Orlando of Frederick, MD, also four great-grandchildren, Jack McKay, Joshua Paul, Brody Edmund and Patrick Joseph. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Keefe was predeceased by her husband, Edmund M. Keefe in 2000.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday March 29th at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial followed in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA. Calling hours were Tuesday evening from 7 – 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
