David J. Pendergast, 58, of Derry, NH died Saturday April 24, 2021 at his home following a lengthy illness. Dave was born in Lynn, MA on July 31, 1962. He was a son of Judith (O’Neil) Pendergast and the late David L. Pendergast. He served with the US Army from 1981 to 1987. Dave had been employed as a mechanic for First Student. He was a 28 year member of the Iron Eagles Motorcycle Club in Derry.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda (Clark) Pendergast of Derry. He has one son, Declan Pendergast of W. Newbury, MA, and one daughter, Kristen Ruttkiewicz of Afton, NY, as well as two grandchildren, Conor and Freyja. He is survived by siblings: Christine Pendergast of North Ft. Meyers, FL, Dana Pendergast and wife Deborah of New Hampton, NH, Dennis Pendergast and wife Ruth of Derry, Daniel Pendergast and wife Leslie of Isanti, MN, Cathleen Shay and husband John of Bethlehem, PA, Derek Pendergast and wife Amy of Gallitin, TN, and many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a walk-through wake with masks, social distancing, and limited interaction with the family will be held on Thursday April 29, 2021 from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 1:30pm at Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
