Patricia Joan Cassel, 89, of Barnstead, NH, passed away Thursday April 22, 2021 in Concord Hospital, Concord, NH. She was born on July 19, 1931 in Derry, NH, a daughter of the late Harold and Doris (Whitney) Boyle. Patricia was a lifelong resident of Derry prior to moving to her daughter’s home in Barnstead. Patricia met the love of her life Ralph and married him at the age of 18 in 1949. Patricia was a loving and committed wife of 71 years. She was also a loving mother and Grammy to more than just her own children, and spent many years raising their seven children in Derry. She enjoyed collecting dolls, sewing and crocheting, loved watching her westerns, taking rides to the ocean, and visiting with siblings and friends on Friday mornings at McDonalds.
She is survived by three sons, Brian J. Cassel and his wife AnnMarie of Pittsfield, NH, Scott A. Cassel and his wife Cheryl of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Craig M. Cassel and his wife Cheryl of Roach, MO; two daughters, Erin M. Bruen and her husband Timothy of Zebulon, NC, and Stacy A. Antonelli and her husband Steve Soucy of Barnstead, NH; 29 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Donna Cassel; brothers, Robert Boyle, Ronald Boyle, Cleve Boyle, and Gary Boyle; sisters, Marsha Abbott, Eileen Boyle and Roxanne Herman. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph J. Cassel in January 2021, and two sons, Marc A. Cassel and Brett A. Cassel.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 29th at 11:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry followed by cremation. Graveside services will be held on Friday April 30th at 11:00am in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, E. Derry where Patricia and Ralph will be laid to rest together. Due to State of NH guidelines, all guests are required to wear masks, minimize contact, and maintain social distancing.
