Jerry Franklin Hanson, 55, of Sylvester, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Phoebe Memorial Hospital in Albany. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Hanson at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2021, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 26, 2021, at Oak Ridge Cemetery on Monday, April 26, 2021, immediately following the service.
Travis Hanson, Richard Hanson, Joshua Molina, Jorge Patino, Jose Molina and James Harrison will serve as pallbearers.
Born November 3, 1965 in Atlanta, Mr. Hanson was the son of Ella Morrow Payne of Sylvester and the late Henry Hanson. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Judy Hanson. He was self-employed and of the Baptist faith. He loved to do woodworking, especially bird houses and he was a volunteer fireman for the City of Poulan.
Mr. Hanson is survived by one son, Travis Hanson and his fiance’, Andrea Torrence of Americus; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Tammie Hanson of Longview, Texas; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Elizabeth Hanson of Omega and Lahoma and Tony Harper of Moultrie.
