FALL RIVER – Lucien W. Banville, age 89, a lifelong resident of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Fall River, Lucien was the beloved husband of Irene (Souza) Banville and the son of the late J. Ovila A. Banville and Laurea (Dussault) Banville.
Prior to retiring, Lucien worked 36 yrs. as a Crane Operator at Montaup Power Plant in Somerset.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Denise M. Medeiros (late husband John) of Fall River, the late Raymond P. Banville, Lulu Banville-Faria (husband Al) of Mexico, Lucien H. Banville (wife Susan) of Westport, Debra L. Gordon (husband James) of N. Dartmouth, Bernadette Banville of Fall River, and Michael D. Banville of Fall River; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; nieces & nephews. Lucien was the brother of the late Henry, Roger, and Ronald Banville.
Lucien’s visitation will be held on Monday, April 26th from 9-11 A.M. with a service to follow at 11:00 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. Interment will be private. To send the family expressions of sympathy, please go to www.rogersfuneral.com.
