Linda M. Alves-Andrade, 74, of Providence, Rhode Island passed away Tuesday April 13, 2021 after a brief illness. She was the widow of Anthony Andrade, Jr.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Jennie (Alves) Dunwoody and Arthur B. Roderick, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life before moving to Providence 25 years ago.
Linda was formerly employed as an office manager for McNamara-Salvia, Structural Engineers in Boston.
She is survived by her children, Curtis W. Andrade and Darlene M. Andrade; her half-siblings, Yvonne Roderick, Mona Lisa Roderick, and Arthur Roderick; three grandchildren. Tasha Williams-Greene, Ashley Williams, and Jada Andrade; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Kenneth Alves and John Gonsalves.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 23, 2021 at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday April 22, 2021 from 4-8 PM. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
