Preston Thomas Kaiser went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 16, 2021. We know this to be so because he happily proclaimed, “Jesus lives in my heart.” Preston was born in Tifton, Georgia on November 15, 2017. He touched the lives of so many, our beloved, shining, happy boy, the light of our lives and the star of our hearts. Even now, he leaves us smiling through our tears. Simply put, Preston was joy personified.
The beloved son of Dr. William and Lindsey Kaiser and the best little brother to Will, Katie, Walker and Lillian. Preston will be sorrowfully missed by all who knew him, especially his grandparents, Ray and Mary Walker and Uta Kaiser; great-grandmother Ottis Walker; uncle and aunt, Michael and Teresa Walker; and cousins Marianne and Raylee Walker.
Preston’s favorite toys were race cars and tractors; he loved to stomp his cat Whiskers’ tail and ride his dog Sherman like a horse. He never met a stranger, a cheese stick, or a bowl of cheese grits he didn’t love. You’d never find him without a Matchbox car in his hand, even when he slept. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and often times the center of attention. Preston especially enjoyed playing any game “Sissy” made him play and found great pleasure in tormenting Walker. He loved digging in the sand at the beach, going on golf cart rides, and testing the structural integrity of any playground or swing he encountered.
Preston shared the gift of life through organ donation and for that, he will be a superhero that lives on.
Bowen Donaldson Home for Funerals has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Tifton at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 25th, with a celebration of life following at 5:00 pm. The family will hold a private interment. Pallbearers will be Dr. Brent Savelli, Dr. Eric Massa, Rusty Smith, and Brad Holt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Preston Thomas Kaiser Memorial Fund at Synovus Bank. This year, the fund will be used to purchase items needed by the Walton County Florida Sheriff’s Department, South Walton Fire/Rescue and Sacred Heart of the Emerald Coast Emergency Room to thank them for the dedication they displayed while delivering care to Preston, and also to enhance their capability in the future.
Preston’s family cherishes his memory and recognizes his life as the brief, inimitable gift that it was.
